Tegel's Last Sigh
the air in airport gives up a
sigh as the last departure …
departs
Tegel’s Last Sigh expels the
air out of the airport, from its
movement around the building
to the wooof of the radar
boom, the psssh of the closing
doors, the flapping of the wind
sock, the blast of the hand
driers, and the roar of the last
jet engine to blow windy eddies
over the deserted tarmac
apron: the last breath of Tegel Airport.
But remember ‘If oxygen is
required, masks will appear
from panels above you.’
